It is well known that the Bachchans have a strong connection with the Samajwadi Party. It is worth mention here that Jaya Bachchan, wife of Amitabh Bachchan, is currently

a Member of the Parliament on the Samajwadi ticket. The party is trying to rope in several actors to be fielded against top politicians.

Sources also have it that actor Sanjay Dutt could contest against the former Prime Minister Vajpayee from the Lucknow constituency.
