Good news for Thalai fans. Ajith's next project is confirmed. Finally Sivaji Production fixed a director for Ajith's 49th film. Its non other than Ajith's hat-trick (Kathal Mannan, Amarkalam and Attagasam) director Saran. The project is titled 'ASAL'. The female lead will be played by 'VA' Sameera Reddy.
Other technicians are yet to be finalized. But the buzzes are that either AR Rahman or Harris Jeyaraj will score the music.
The shooting of Asal starring Ajith in the lead will commence during the month of March. Saran who will be directing this film said,” The shooting of the film Modhi Vilayadu is nearing completion. Four songs of this film yet to be shot at foreign locations. I am going to Dubai and Finland to finalize the locations by end of this month. This film is to be released by end of April. The shooting of Ajith's next movie Asal will commence during the March. I have written this script exclusively for Ajith one year back. Screenplay is being made in an innovative way. This film will be totally different from other Ajith films I have worked. You can see a different Ajith in this film. That is why I have named the film Asal. Asal means original. Seeing the title people are asking me that whether there will be another role which is duplicate. There is no duplicate in this film. I am talking to Ajith daily about this film. This will be great treat to Ajith’s fans.”
